Technical Challenge

OEM requested that the client and their competition add more value, providing higher-level assemblies as well as developing next-generation technologies. Much of the higher-value engineering requested was outside the client’s core competencies, and the component level and protection of the existing and to-be-developed intellectual property was critical.

CTS Solution

Using decades of technology packaging experience, a cross-functional team defined the project scope and key product deliverables. CTS developed a phased development plan and managed the project through the various development stages (phase gate reviews, etc.). CTS manufactured prototypes for qualification, released a complete 3D CAD documentation package and was ramped successfully to production volumes while ensuring the intellectually property remained with the client and effectively controlled.
